Watervliet school community comes together to support a family in need
|
Imagine losing everything you own in a fire. A Watervliet family recently found themselves in this terrible predicament, and our schools have rallied around them.
WJSHS recently collected over $700 to help the student affected by this situation replace lost clothing and books. And at WES, the 6th graders sponsored a "Care to Keep Your Cap On" fundraiser. Any student or staff member who donated a dollar earned permission to wear a hat all day on March 20. After the final collection, almost $850 had been donated! |

That makes over $1500 collected so far from our entire school community - and the donations keep coming in. Special thanks to Mr. Foust and Ms. Tallmadge and everyone else who helped organize these fundraisers! What an amazing outpouring of support from staff and students alike!
