Get to know the cafeteria staff who serve school breakfast and lunch to students every day

Most parents are familiar with their children's classroom teachers, but may know little about the other adults their children interact with at school throughout the course of a day, such as bus drivers, teacher assistants, cafeteria workers, building principals, and the librarian, to name a few.

For example, members of the elementary school’s food service staff can be found in the kitchen preparing meals, or on the serving line dishing out breakfast and lunch to students each morning and afternoon. It is an important job feeding hundreds of children every day, because when students are hungry, it is difficult to concentrate on learning.

What you may not know is that half of these individuals prefer peanut M&Ms to the plain variety. They also have a variety of reasons for choosing to work at WES: some like it because the hours are convenient, while others just enjoy working with the children. You can learn more about each of them by clicking on the staff member’s name below.
