Students participate in largest civic education project in country

Watervliet students in grades 7-12 voted online for their choice for president in the National Student Mock Election, billed as the largest civic education project in the country. The students had an opportunity to cast their ballots from Oct. 31 through Nov. 3 during social studies classes. Results of the mock election indicate that students in New York and throughout the country support Hillary Clinton for president. The former First Lady received 317 Electoral College votes compared to Donald Trumps 221 votes.
