Harmony Extreme students

Watervliet singers at Harmony Explosion Camp!

STUDENTS FILL THIER SUMMER WITH HARMONY!

In August, 16 students and  music educator Terry Bradyway attended the Harmony Explosion Camp at Worcester State College in MA. The camp provides top-notch vocal coaching and choral instruction to two vocal ensembles, a male chorus and a female chorus. Each group contained just under 100 members and sang a variety of a capella vocal music, both barbershop harmony and traditional vocal literature. At the conclusion of the camp, all ensembles participated in a final concert and shared the stage with international championship quartets. Not only did our students have a great musical experience but they were able to get a taste of campus life by sleeping in college dorms and eating meals in the college cafeteria.

While the students attended rehearsals Mrs. Bradway attended a special program for music educators. She observed rehearsals, attended special workshop sessions led by highly renowned vocal educators and sang in the educators' chorus.
