Grade 8 supplies

 

NOTE: If you have already purchased supplies that are different from those described on the supply list below, do not worry these are suggested items.

FOR ALL CORE CLASSES (MATH, SCIENCE, SOCIAL STUDIES, ELA)

  Loose-leaf paper

   Pens (black or blue only)

  Pencils

SUPPLIES by CLASS

•   Math - One 2-inch binder, loose-leaf paper, box of pencils to be left in classroom, scientific calculator for home use
Adv. Math - Same as math

•   English - Folder, Spiral notebook, Loose-leaf, (suggested: highlighter)

•   Social Studies - One notebook with pockets, folder

•   Science - 4 one-subject spiral notebooks, 1 folder, highlighters, 2 glue sticks

•   Foreign Language - 1 binder, loose-leaf paper, dividers (for Spanish) and pen or pencil

•   Art - Pencils and erasers

•   Technology - 1 notebook and a pack of pencils

•   Health - Notebook or 1 inch binder with loose-leaf paper, and bring a pen every day to class

•   Home & Careers - Loose-leaf paper, pens and pencils

•   Phys Ed - Change of clothes: T-shirt or sweatshirt, shorts or sweatpants, sneakers and deodorant (no aerosol spray cans)

IDEAS

•   If possible, purchase binders/notebooks that are different colors to make locating items in locker easier.

•   Please put student's name on the outside of notebooks, binders and folders in case he or she misplaces these items.

•   Backpacks with wheels will not fit into the school lockers. The width of the locker is 11 ½ inches and the depth is 10 ½ inches, but the door opening is only 8 ½ inches wide.

•   Locker shelves are great for keeping the locker organized. If purchasing one, please look for shelves that are tall enough to stand textbooks upright underneath it.
