Watervliet High School senior Jon Parker has been named to the First Team All-Stars for Colonial Council Baseball! Parker, an outfielder, is also listed on the exceptional senior game roster. Vliet softball players recognized by Colonial Council

Congratulations to two Watervliet softball players on earning Colonial Council honors. Taylor Daniels (a junior short stop) has been named the number 2 player on First Team All-Stars for Colonial Council Softball, just under the league MVP. Beth Jones (a sophomore third baseman) has made Second Team All-Stars for Colonial Council Softball.


Gleason signs Letter of Intent to play at Division I Sacred Heart University

Cannoneers basketball regional final results

Congratulations to the Cannoneers on winning the Class B regional final by a score of 73-58 over Ogdensburg Free Academy Saturday at SUNY Potsdam. With the victory, the Cannoneers move on to the state semifinals in Glens Falls. View Troy Record article

After winning the semis, both teams moving on to regional finals

Both Cannoneers basketball teams advance to the NYSPHSAA regional finals on Saturday at SUNY Potsdam against the section 10 winners. The girls will play Salmon River at 1:45 p.m., followed by the boys versus Ogdensburg Free Academy at 3:30 p.m.

This site keeps all Colonial Council Sports information including standings and stats for each sport along with pictures and Capital area sports stories.

The Watervliet City School Athletics Department believes that student-athletes grow mentally, physically, and socially through their involvement in sports. Hopefully, this growth will result in a healthy lifestyle which will be prevalent throughout their lives.

Watervliet City School is governed by the New York State High School Athletic Association, Section 2, and the Colonial Athletic Conference, competing as a Class “B/C” sized school.
