ADK Women’s Lacrosse Club offers introductory program for grades 3-8 children interested in learning the game

The ADK Women’s Lacrosse Club will offer an Introduction to Lacrosse program for any child going into grades 3-8 who lives in Watervliet, Green Island, or Menands. The program begins Thursday, June 9 from 5:30 to 6:30 p.m. at the WJSHS turf field, and continues on Thursday evenings through July (except for June 23 when program will be on Tuesday, June 21 due to WHS graduation). - Wear gym clothes and sneakers (or molded cleats)
- Equipment, sticks and balls will be provided

Reminder: Fall Sports Physicals are August 10

On Wednesday, August 10 at 9:00 a.m., Dr. O'Bryan will be at WHS for fall sports physicals. All students who plan to participate in fall sports for the 2016-2017 school year, please complete a Health History Form. Athletes who do not have an up-to-date physical, will not be allowed to participate in school sports.

Rules for home football games

To ensure student safety at high school football games, Watervliet school district officials are implementing the following rules for student fans who attend home games:

bullet graphicStudents in grade 6 or younger MUST be accompanied by a supervising adult or they will not be admitted to the football game. An adult is defined as a parent, a coach, a grandparent or a guardian.

bullet graphicNo one is allowed into the game after halftime.

bullet graphicNo re-entry is allowed for patrons or fans who leave the stadium at any point during the game.

We want to be respectful of our student athletes, our cheerleaders and all patrons who attend our football games, said Watervliet Athletic Director Michael Foust. We also want everyone to enjoy home games in a safe and orderly environment.
Admission to football games is $3 for all adults and $1 for all students.

Track open for public use

The track at WJSHS is open for public use weekdays only between the hours of 4 and 8 p.m. When using the track, please be respectful of facility rules. View track rules
