Superintendent position interviews set to begin Monday

The Watervliet City School District Board of Education will convene a special meeting on Monday, December 5 to begin interviewing candidates for the position of superintendent.
The board has invited an interview committee that includes faculty, staff and administrator representatives to participate in the selection of the district's next leader.
The board has also enlisted the assistance of Capital Region BOCES District Superintendent Charles S. Dedrick regarding the search.
Dr. Paul J. Padalino, superintendent since 2005, will leave Watervliet in January to become the superintendent in the Kingston City School District.
Monday’s meeting begins at 5:30 p.m. in the administrative conference room at Watervliet Junior-Senior High School.
