Watervliet Jr./Sr. High School Summer Reading 2014 program

Summer reading is an excellent opportunity for students to stay connected to literature, to enhance skills developed during the school year and to gain knowledge. Ricky the Robot visits Watervliet Junior High School

In June, Watervliet Jr./Sr. High School welcomed a special futuristic guest: Ricky the Robot, a “humanoid robot” operated by the Capital Region BOCES’ Northeastern Regional Information Center (NERIC), visited with Ashleigh Rozell’s science classes to demonstrate the latest in robotics. Transportation 2014-15

There are no changes to transportation all bus runs will remain the same for the 2014-2015 school year. Pick up times in Port Schuyler for high school students will remain the same: 7:15 a.m., 7:30 a.m., and 7:43 a.m. Elementary and high school arrival and dismissal times will remain the same, as well. Please call Roni O'Brien at 629-3224 if you have any questions.

More than 90 percent of the Class of 2014 will pursue higher education at two- and four-year colleges in the fall.  In this video, produced in cooperation with the Capital Region BOCES Communications Service, college-bound seniors and their guidance counselors discuss navigating the path to college and share advice with younger students on how to have a positive and successful high school experience.
