Location: Assistant Superintendent for Curriculum & Instruction Office, Watervliet Jr. – Sr. High School
Salary: $30,000.00 – $40,000.00 per year (based on experience) plus extremely competitive health and dental benefits package
Hours: 7 hours, exclusive of ½ hour or hour lunch
Type of Position: 12–Month
Job Description
- Performs a wide variety of administrative activities and tasks to support the office and district.
- Computes and makes appropriate changes to grant reports.
- Manages the sharing and obtaining of students’ academic records and staff data.
- Processes student permission slips for Extended school day activities.
- Input necessary information into data management systems.
- Complete other clerical work as required.
Minimum Qualifications
- Must be a resident of Albany County, preference given to residents of the City of Watervliet.
- Applicant appointed provisionally – subject to score on upcoming Administrative Aide Civil Service exam (date of the exam to be determined).
- Either Associate’s degree plus 1 year of clerical office, or administrative experience OR high school diploma plus 3 years of clerical office or administrative experience.
- Computer skills including advanced use of Word and Excel (spreadsheets) and Google Suite.
- Ability to learn and manage multiple online databases.
- Ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously.
- Meet deadlines and prioritize office needs.
- Must possess excellent organizational, flexibility, and creative problem-solving skills.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality.
- Ability to work with students/staff with varied social/cultural backgrounds.
