Position: Director of Curriculum and Instruction
Location: Watervliet City School District

Salary: As per contract
Minimum Qualifications:
- Strong leadership experience in aligning curriculum/instruction to NYS Learning Standards
- Ability to promote a shared vision for academic improvement between elementary and secondary schools as well as collaborating with administrators, teachers and support staff
- Possess deep knowledge of PK-12 Curriculum and Instructional Assessment
- Ability to collaborate with instructional coaches, teachers as well as facilitating professional development for all staff
- Must be well-versed in DEI (Diversity Equity and Inclusivity) Programs/Practices
- Knowledge and experience in best practices for creating/sustaining Trauma Sensitive Schools
- Ability to desegregate data from a wide variety of diversified sources for the purposes of preparing reports, making recommendations and/or preparing information
- Demonstrate the ability to work comfortably with a diverse population of students
- Ability to assist in the selection, assignment, transfer, promotion, and evaluation of instructional staff
- Ability to assist in the development, implementation and evaluation of programs designed to meet the ongoing professional growth needs of certified staff members
- NYS certification: School District Leader (SDL); School District Administrator (SDA)
- Leadership experience required (minimum of 3 years)
