Salary: $96,099-$103,515 (per WAA contract)

Job Description

The Jr/Sr High School Principal is an instructional leader who is expected to utilize and incorporate research based strategies and methodologies that will lead to improvements in teaching, learning, equity, and engagement. This position, which reports to the Superintendent, will supervise and evaluate all students, staff, and programs at the secondary level. The Principal will work with the administrative team to support staff in implementing learning standards, behavioral expectations, instructional practices, and assessments, while maintaining a safe and orderly learning environment.

Minimum Qualifications

  1. New York State SAS, SBL, SDA, or SDL administrative certification is required.
  2. NYS valid Lead Evaluator certification required.
  3. Knowledge of NYSED requirements for secondary students and Next Generation Learning Standards.
  4. Ability to create an environment characterized by high expectations, accountability, respect and integrity.
  5. Secondary level leadership experience.
  6. Ability to work with students/staff from diverse social/cultural backgrounds.
  7. Strong communication, collaboration and organizational skills.
  8. Ability to demonstrate job expectations.
  9. Appointment subject to fingerprint clearance.
