To help make the start of a new school year a little less hectic, Watervliet teachers have provided the 2019-20 school supply lists now. Take a look below and click on your child’s grade level or teacher’s name for a list of school supplies.

Mrs. LaVallee’s Recommended Supply List

  • 2 Boxes of #2 pencils
  • 2 Boxes of Crayola crayons 24 pack
  • 12-pack colored pencils
  • Plastic pencil case (no zipper)
  • 1 pocket folder (home folder)
  • 4 Composition notebooks
  • 1 Red pocket folder
  • 1 Blue pocket folder
  • 1 Yellow pocket folder
  • 1 Green pocket folder
  • 8 Elmer’s jumbo glue sticks
  • 8 Expo dry erase markers (low odor bullet tip large markers)
  • 1 sock for an eraser
  • 1 pair of Fiskar scissors – blunt tip
  • 4 Boxes of tissues
  • 1 Book bag with zipper (no wheels)
  • 2 boxes of gallon size baggies

*Please have your child’s name clearly printed on the book bag. You do not need to label any other items.

Mrs. Cusack’s Suggested Supply List

  • 4-6 Ticonderoga beginner pencils (usually sold in 2 pack)
  • 2 Boxes of Crayola crayons (24 pack)
  • 1 Box of Crayola colored pencils (24 count)
  • 4 Black Expo chisel tip dry erase markers
  • 6 Elmer’s glue sticks
  • 6 Boxes of Kleenex tissues
  • 4 Large packs of unscented baby wipes
  • 1 Box of gallon size baggies
  • 1 Box of quart size baggies
  • 1 Book bag with zipper (no wheels)

Kindergarten Supply List

Here is a recommended list of supplies that your child will need for kindergarten:

  • 2 Boxes of Crayola crayons (24 ct )
  • 2 Boxes of tissues
  • 2 Marble composition notebook labeled with name
  • 1 Elmer’s white glue 4oz bottle
  • 1 package of glue sticks
  • 1 package of large erasers
  • 2 Expo dry erase markers
  • 1 Package of Index Cards (lined or unlined)
  • 1 24-count box of pencils
  • 1 pair of scissors
  • 1 plastic yellow folder labeled with name
  • Book bag large enough to fit two-pocket folders and clearly labeled
  • Boys bring a box of gallon size baggies
  • Girls bring a box of quart size baggies
  • Sneakers for gym – does not need to stay in school
  • Daily healthy snacks
  • Wear the provided bus tags on bookbag

We share classroom supplies. All supplies are collected at the beginning of the year and are replenished from the supply as needed. Only the folder and notebooks need to be labeled with your child’s name.

First Grade Supply List

  • 2 marble composition notebooks
  • 5 pocket folders (red, blue, yellow, green, white)
  • 20 glue sticks (2 per month)
  • 4 packs of Crayola 24 count crayons (1 box per quarter)
  • Scissors
  • 2 pink erasers
  • 2 boxes of tissue
  • # 2 pencils (at least 36)
  • 1 container of baby wipes
  • Boys: 1 box of quart size zip-lock bags
  • Girls: 1 box of gallon size zip-lock bags
  • 1 set of headphones (no earbuds, please) You can find inexpensive ones at Walmart and Five Below
  • plastic pencil box

We share pencils in our classrooms. Please do not send in fancy pencils that your child will not want to share. All pencils are collected at the beginning of the year and are replenished from the supply as needed. Pencils do not need to be labeled. Please label all other supplies with child’s name. Second Grade Supply List

Welcome to Second Grade! In September your second grader will need these general supplies. We are providing you the recommended list now so you may take advantage of the summer sales.

  • 1 package of loose leaf paper (must be WIDE RULED)
  • 5 pocket folders (NO BINDERS) – one of each color: red, blue, yellow, green, white
  • 2  bottles of white glue (4 oz. size)
  • 6 Large glue sticks
  • 5 black marble composition (wide ruled) notebooks – NO spiral notebooks
  • 3 fine tip dry erase markers (black or blue only)
  • 2 boxes of crayons
  • 1 small pencil/crayon box
  • Yellow #2 pencils (at least 24) sharpened (these will need to be replaced throughout the year – yellow Ticonderoga work best)
  • 2 large boxes of Kleenex (to be shared throughout the year)
  • 1 box slide-lock bags (these are used to protect books)
    • Boys bring quart size. Girls bring gallon size.

Please label all of your child’s supplies with their name.

Third Grade Supply List

Welcome to 3rd Grade! We are looking forward to meeting you in September. Here is a list of grade level supplies that we recommend students have when we come back to school.

  • Book bag/backpack large enough to hold notebooks, books, etc.
  • Art supplies (I box or crayons, colored pencils, or markers)
  • 12 (I box) #2 Pencils with erasers
  • Pencil case (soft sided preferred)
  • 4 glue sticks
  •  l packages of loose-leaf paper
  • 5 pocket folders: Red (Reading), Green (Science), Blue (Math), Yellow (Social Studies), your choice (misc.)]
  • Scissors
  • 2 boxes of tissues
  • 1 box quart size zipper style bags
  • 5 composition notebooks
  • 2 highlighters
  • 4 Expo dry erase markers
  • 1 pack Post-it style notes
  • Old sock for erasing

Take time this summer to read a book, practice multiplication and division facts and/or write a story. This is a great time to reinforce skills that have been taught throughout elementary school.
