Dear Families of Watervliet Elementary School,
I am writing to you to share that I submitted my letter of resignation to Dr. Caplan earlier this week, and will be leaving Watervliet Elementary School effective January 4, 2019.
As many of you may know, along with being principal of Watervliet Elementary School, I am also a Mom to three young boys. Since I returned from my maternity leave last year, I have often thought about the balance between work and home. As a result, I have decided to tip the balance towards my family and take time to focus on and be with my family.
It has been an honor to work with you and your students each day. I will miss being out in the drop-off/pick-up loop each day as well as seeing all of the students smiles each day! Please know that I wish nothing but continued growth and success for the district.
I will be working with the administrative team to ensure a smooth transition to my replacement. Please feel free to reach out to me if you have any questions.
