Grades 7-8 School Supply Lists

To help make the start of a new school year a little less hectic, Watervliet teachers have provided the 2019-20 school supply lists now. Take a look below and click on your child’s grade level for a list of school supplies.

Grade 7Grade 8

Grade 7  School Supply List 2019-2020

Needed for ALL core classes (English language arts, math, science, social studies)

  • Loose-leaf paper
  • Pens (black or blue only)
  • Pencils

Specific Supplies by Class

Math and Adv. Math:  One 1.5 inch binder, dividers, loose-leaf paper, box of pencils to be left in classroom. (scientific calculator to be left at home)

English:  Folder, Spiral Notebook (suggestion: highlighters, box of pencils for the classroom)

AIS Reading:  Folder and notebook

Social Studies:

  • 4 one-subject spiral notebooks (any color), 2 Yellow folders, 1-4 pack of glue sticks (Suders)
  • One notebook with pockets, yellow folder (Burke)

Science:  4 one-subject spiral notebooks, highlighters, colored pencils, 4 glue sticks

Foreign Language:  1 binder, loose-leaf paper, dividers (for Spanish) and pen or pencil

Art:  1 one-subject notebook, pencils and erasers

Health: Notebook or 1-inch binder with loose-leaf paper, and bring a pen every day to class

Home & Careers:  Loose-leaf paper, pens and pencils

Physical Education: Change of clothes – sweatshirt or T-shirt, shorts or sweatpants, sneakers and deodorant (no aerosol spray cans)

WIN Math:  (1) One-subject notebook, one folder
WIN ELA:  (1) One-subject notebook, one folder

IDEAS:

If possible, purchase binders/notebooks that are different colors to make locating items in locker easier. We are recommending:

  • Please put student’s name on the outside of notebooks, binders and folders in case he or she misplaces these items.

Locker shelves are great for keeping the locker organized. If purchasing one, please look for shelves that are tall enough to stand textbooks upright underneath it.

Social Studies: One 3-subject notebook with pockets, colored pencils (24 count), loose-leaf paper

Science: 4 one-subject spiral notebooks, 1 folder, highlighters, 2 glue sticks
