Student Ambassadors share holiday cheer with WHA residents

Student ambassadors from Watervliet Elementary School delivered poinsettias and handmade holiday greeting cards to residents of the Eugene Hanratta Apartments in the city on Dec. 15.

Fourteen students walked door-to-door presenting the plants and sharing happy holiday wishes that brought smiles to the faces of approximately 60 seniors who live in the Watervliet Housing Authority (WHA) apartment complex. The student ambassadors were accompanied by their adult advisors and WHA Tenant Relations Examiner Kylea Spain (a WHS alum).

We thank the WHA for coordinating this annual opportunity for our elementary students to volunteer in their community.
