Students, staff get decked out for sweater contest
Watervliet Elementary School students and staff members were decked out in the least attractive holiday sweaters they could find or make, in some cases, for the school’s Ugly Sweater Contest. Iconic holiday images such as reindeer, gingerbread men, elves, snowmen and the Grinch adorned many of the sweaters, while others featured penguins, a fuzzy polar bear, Darth Vader and musician Neil Young.
