It went down to the wire, but the Cannoneer wrestling team overcame a 10 point deficit going into the final two matches against Ravena to win the Colonial Council title on January 24. Every wrestler contributed to the team win, with a pin by senior Owen Lyons nudging the Cannoneers past their opponents in a hard-fought battle of two undefeated teams.
It was also senior night for four Cannoneer wrestlers – Charles Diotte, Owen Lyons, Carlos Maldonado and Sterling Spoon –and their families who were recognized before the start of the match.
