We could not have  have asked for better weather – and we certainly could not have pulled off this huge event without the assistance of our many volunteers and our sponsors!

A special thank you to Brenda Zawistowski for co-chairing this event and Superintendent Dr. Donald Stevens for encouraging and assisting with the event, even taking a turn in the dunk tank! (Did you notice how long the lines were to have a chance to dunk Dr. Stevens and School Resource Officer Tito Negron?!)

Our appreciation to our student helpers and the dozens of teachers and staff members who volunteered to run the games and activity booths, prepare food, and brave the dunk tank! Thank you to our maintenance crew for their support with set up and clean up before and after the event. A shout out to new PE teacher Colin Eletto and his friends from the Harlem Samba Band for performing some pretty electrifying Brazilian drum beats!

We also thank the local businesses and organizations that participated and helped support our back-to-school celebration including the City of Watervliet, the Watervliet Police and Fire Departments, the Watervliet Civic Center, the Watervliet Public Library, the Albany County Sheriff’s Department, St. Gobain, the Boys and Girls Club of the Capital Area, and CDPHP for sponsoring the event.

We look forward to this event again next year!
