Mixson makes history!

Groundbreaking: Watervliet wrestler Sophia Mixson, center of podium, became the first female wrestling champ in school history.

Tenth-grader Sophia Mixson became the FIRST girls wrestling tournament champion ever in our school’s history. Sophia went undefeated, capturing first place  at the Coxsackie-Athens Tournament over December break. WTG Sophia!! 

Cannoneers grind out win!

Also over the break, our boys varsity basketball team won the Fonda Holiday Tournament. The Cannoneers held off a competitive Fonda-Fultonville team to win the game 39-32. Daheem Wilson was the tourney MVP notching 15 points for the Cannoneers, while Trevor Holloway was named an all star. Congratulations players and coaches!
