Watervliet Jr.-Sr. High School Band and Chorus students recently had an exciting and successful day at the 2025 Trills & Thrills Music Festival presented by the Great Escape Six Flags Great Theme Park in Queensbury.

During the music festival, the ensembles performed their pieces before a panel of judges, who provided valuable feedback and scored the performances numerically. Musical groups earning a score between 90-100 are awarded the prestigious Superior rating.

Congratulations to our Watervliet ensembles on scoring Superior ratings — as the band notched 95/100 for their musicianship and the chorus earned a 98/100 score for their vocal artistry — a testament to the hard work and talent of our students!

After all performances were evaluated, an awards ceremony celebrated the student ensembles with plaques and ribbons to recognize their achievements. Then, in the afternoon — the students got the chance to unwind and have a blast exploring the rides and games at the Great Escape — for a great mix of music, accomplishment, and fun all in one memorable day.
