Watervliet Jr.-Sr. High School’s English Language Learners (ELL) got a “Taste of Thanksgiving” on Tuesday, November 26 when teachers and staff brought in their favorite holiday dishes to share. All 38 ELL students were invited to participate in the Thanksgiving feast that featured turkey, stuffing, cranberry sauce, and all the traditional fixings.
“Many of our ENL students have not experienced the long, family-style Thanksgiving dinner table,” said ENL teacher Dana Kowalchyk. “We thank our educator colleagues for helping to provide this experience for students.”
