Earn College Credit this Summer with Hudson Valley’s College in the High School Program

High school students, get ahead on your studies this summer. HVCC is awarding scholarships to all students in our College in the High School sections for Summer 2021.

Enroll in one of Hudson Valley Community College’s College in the High School programs and earn college credit. All classes are taught by qualified Hudson Valley faculty members, and credits are transferable.

Choose from a variety of classes offered in the following areas:

All students will receive a scholarship to cover the cost of classes, plus free textbooks. Classes are held online or remotely and sessions are available May 24- July 2; May 24-August 13; and July 6 through August 13.

Hudson Valley Community College Summer Head Start Programs

HEAD START ON MATH

A program for students who want to brush up on their math skills and learn about the college and its academic support resources. Head Start on Math gives students the opportunity to work on basic math skills and get a “head start” on preparedness for Basic Math (MATH 095) and Elementary Algebra (MATH 099). Students will be more confident navigating the campus and understanding the learning resources we offer.

Being offered online:
Head Start on Math – Pre-Algebra: June 1 – July 11
Head Start on Math – Algebra: July 12 – Aug. 22

Being offered on campus (2-week program):
Aug. 16 – 20, Monday-Friday and
Aug. 23-26, Monday-Thursday
10 a.m. – 1 p.m.

HEAD START ON WRITING

A program for students who need to brush up on their writing skills and learn about campus resources. Students will have the opportunity to work with Writing and Research Center faculty on writing skills and get a head start on being better prepared for English Composition I.

July 12 – Aug. 22

Being offered on campus (2-week program):
Aug. 16-20, Monday-Friday and
Aug. 23-26, Monday-Thursday
9 a.m. – Noon
