Protocols for staff and visitors to our schools

In the interest of health and safety, ALL district employees who are working over the summer must complete a Wellness Self-Screening and Attestation App each day before entering the schools. Visit https://entry.neric.org/watervliet to complete the screening. This link is also available on the Staff Resources page of the district website or by using the QR code found on signage at the main entrance to each building.

After completing the self-screening app, the phone screen or other device screen will signal whether or not the individual is approved to enter the building.

Although our schools currently remain closed to visitors, in the event a visitor is deemed essential and has the approval of an administrator, they are subject to the same safety measures as district employees and must complete the Wellness Self-Screening and Attestation App prior to entering our facilities.

Face Masks & Social Distancing

All employees returning to work and authorized visitors to our buildings will be required to wear face coverings when in common areas of the schools (hallways, entrances/exits, shared offices, etc.), when they will be in contact with others, or when it is reasonable to assume they will be in contact with others.

Face masks must fully cover the nose and mouth. Non-district issued face coverings are appropriate if they meet the required criteria. The district will supply a face covering for employees who do not have one.

Employees and visitors are also reminded to maintain a physical distance of at least six (6) feet from each other. Where social distancing is not possible, face masks/coverings are a MUST! Also, it is important to practice social distancing when entering or exiting the building.

District Safety Monitor

Assistant Superintendent Donald Stevens has been designated the district’s Site Safety Monitor. The Site Safety Monitor is responsible for ensuring that the District’s Safety Plan is implemented and followed, and that appropriate records are maintained.

District staff or visitors to our schools who develop COVID-19 symptoms, test positive for COVID-19, or come in close contact with a confirmed or suspected case of COVID-19, are asked to email Mr. Stevens or call 518-629-3456.

The district will update the guidance posted on our website to reflect any changes in regulations.
