Stewart’s donation to help support school programs

Thank you, Stewart’s Shops!

The manager of our neighborhood Stewart’s Shops recently presented a check for $1,000 to the Watervliet City School District. The funds received from Stewart’s will help support our athletic program at Watervliet Jr.-Sr. High School and our Student Ambassadors program at Watervliet Elementary School.

The award was part of the 2023 Stewart’s Holiday Match, which raised more than $2 million over the holiday season to donate to non-profit, charitable and community organizations that work with children in the 32 counties where Stewart’s Shops are located.

“We are lucky to have two Stewart’s Shops here in our community,” said Superintendent of Schools Dr. Donald Stevens, “and we are grateful for the generous support the company has shown our schools over the years.”
