Nominated by their coaches in March 2024, our Athletes of the Month are Makenzie Ryan and Zayden Crouse. Congratulations!
Makenzie Ryan — Varsity Softball
Varsity softball coach Mike Bendon said he could think of no better choice for March Athlete of the Month.
“Kenzie is the first to practice and the last to leave. She is always looking to learn and never takes a play off during practice or a game. Kenzie has impressed the coaching staff so much we have made her a team captain. I couldn’t think of a better choice.”
Zayden Crouse — Varsity Baseball
When a player sets a school record of course they deserve special recognition, Coach Peter Soroka said of his choice for March Athlete of the Month.
“On Saturday April 6, 2024 Zayden Crouse broke a baseball school record by recording 21 strikeouts in 7 and 2/3rd innings. He threw 105 total pitches while throwing 75 strikes with no walks. This launched the Cannoneers to a 5 to 4 victory over Berlin. Congratulations to Zayden!”
