WHS seniors reserve their spot at HVCC through early admissions process

Over 30 Watervliet High School seniors met with admissions counselors from Hudson Valley Community College (HVCC) to finalize their applications free of charge and be accepted on the spot for the Fall 2024 semester during HVCC Instant Admissions Day on Oct. 31. The students will receive their official acceptance letters from HVCC in late December.

The college-bound students expressed interests in a number of associate degree programs offered by HVCC including computer information systems, criminal justice, early childhood education, environmental studies, individual studies (liberal arts), health sciences/nursing, as well as certifications in other programs such as paramedic and welding/fabrication.

The HVCC counselors encouraged the high school seniors to visit the campus during an upcoming Open House on Nov. 11 to get more information on financial aid and available scholarships. Register to attend the HVCC Open House (Walk-ins also welcome)

Students interested in transferring credits to earn a bachelor’s degree should keep in mind that HVCC has articulation agreements with more than 250 four-year colleges and universities.
